How many children do you have and what are their age(s)?
I have one son who is a junior in high school. He attends The Morris County School of Technology in Denville.
How long have you lived in Florham Park? What made you decide to live here?
I have lived in Florham Park for 19 years. However, I also grew up in this wonderful community. Growing up I always felt Florham Park had the feel of ‘Walnut Grove’ from the book series “Little House On The Prairie”. You knew all the proprietors and could easily reach your friends or anything else you needed in 1980 by bicycle. Sure, this small town has changed but the feeling of community is still something I am connected to all these years later.
What’s your favorite family activity Florham Park?
We maintain our own garden plot in the town’s community garden. We also enjoy attending the annual 4th of July parade together.
Where’s your favorite place to eat and/or shop in Florham Park?
Our favorite restaurant is The Thirsty Turtle – perfect to grab dinner or take out.
What’s one thing people would be surprised to know about you?
That in my 40’s I own more stuffed plush characters/animals and children’s books then most people with a family of 3 young children!
Anyone special you’d like to thank for helping you through parenthood?
My sister Staci Fabisch. I was 3 months pregnant when my mother passed away. She took on a dual role in my life and was always there to lend an ear and help me make the best decisions for my son. From way back to the days of Chuck E Cheese to currently touring colleges this year.

I am the owner and Chief Storyteller at Storybox Tales. I am a childhood/elementary educator with 20-plus years of experience. As Chief Storyteller at Storybox Tales, my mission is to provide support to parents, teachers, and others who share my passion for nurturing our youngest readers. I have experience in many facets of education –including the Montessori method and my background in special education.
I have developed a hands-on, multi-sensory approach to learning that is the foundation on which Storybox Tales is built. I bring to life the magic of storytelling right in your location! The Storybox Tales program combines favorite tales with puppets, props, and interactive songs to engage and enthrall young children – and foster their love of reading!
How has this community been instrumental in getting you to where you are now?
Specifically, in reference to my business, the Florham Park Recreation/Community center was one of my first clients when I began building Storybox Tales. Being in a place I had known all of my life made it comfortable for me to reach out and form a relationship with the town.
