Morris County St Patricks Day Parade (Morristown)
Saturday March 14
12PM
The Morristown St. Patrick’s Day Parade is a major annual tradition in Morris County. That’s because in 1780, George Washington gave his militiamen St. Patrick’s Day off following a cold and grueling winter; marking the very first St. Patrick’s Day Celebration in the country, right in Morristown. The festivities begin at noon, but you’ll want to get there early to find a good place to set up. The parade starts on South Street, between Town Hall and the High School.
