Check out our latest Meet A Mom interview below with local Berkeley Heights mom Linda!

Where are you from originally and how long have you lived in town?
I’m originally from Queens, came to Summit in 1990 and purchased our house that we presently live in BH in 1994.

Child(ren) and Age(s)?
3 children Tori 28, Mike 26, Chris 24 and just became a grandmother!

Favorite things to do with your kids?
We always have a family dinner, once a week and now that the kids are grown and almost all living on their own, it is the best meal of the week!

Favorite places to eat & shop in the area?
DiMaos, Harlees and Tap Tavern

Favorite form of self care?
I go to the MAX about 3x a week

Are you involved in a business venture, a local organization, a creative endeavor, or in the corporate world? Please share!
I own my own store, Linda’s Creative Gifts in NP. I have about 40 local and U.S. artists that I sell for in my store. About 85% of the store is unique/handmade. I have jewelry, lotions, soaps, glassware with funny sayings, beer/wine holders made from military tents/tarps, religious jewelry, rain ponchos, bears/bunnys for kids, kid bows, bibs burp clothes, candles, cutting boards, Haute handbags and currently started carrying Paolo’s Kitchen frozen dinners.

If you could give one tip to fellow Mom Entrepreneurs what would it be?
It’s a lot more work than you realize so make a plan and take your time.

One thing people would be surprised to know about you…
I’m an artist myself and the pencil drawings in my store are mine!

How has this community been instrumental in getting you to where you are now?
NP is very supportive of their small businesses and will often shop at my store.
