Where to Donate Locally This Giving Season | Union County Moms

Here is a list of local places to donate this season!

Habitat for Humanity ReStore: Habitat ReStores are home improvement stores that accept small and large donations of new or gently used furniture, appliances, housewares, building materials and more. Proceeds from the sales of these items help Habitat’s work in your community and around the world.

The Brooke Healey Foundation: The Brooke Healey Foundation is collecting donations to help families dealing with pediatric cancer. Now, more than ever, families are in need of support while they care for their children. The donations will go to help these families during the holidays and also towards targeted research to help cure pediatric brain cancers.

Furniture Assist: Accepts all kinds of donations, see their list here, but you must have an appointment to drop off donations.

Market St Mission: Accepting clothing donations via drop box or at their loading dock. Here are the details,

Bridge of Books Foundation: Donate gently used or new children’s books. Here are details on how to donate.

Junior League Summit Thrift: Shop the JL Summit Thrift Shop for Holiday shopping or consider donating goods. Here is a link of what is currently accepted.

Chatham Helping Hands – Boxcar Grocery Donation: Many of our neighbors, from small business owners to furloughed workers to seniors on fixed incomes, are having a hard time making ends meet. Helping Hands was created to facilitate help for Chatham families who find themselves “food insecure” as a result of the COVID-19 restrictions. Residents can help this initiative by purchasing a box for donation.

SHIP of Summit: Opportunities to contribute to SHIP via monetary donation, volunteering and donating goods.

Nourish NJ: Our guests rely on nourish.NJ for most if not all of their basic needs. Did you know that food stamps can’t be used to buy personal care items? By buying and donating these items, you can help provide the basics we all need to get through the week. Here is a list of current needs.

Moms Helping Moms Foundation: Looking for hosts for diaper drives both virtually or in community! Email [email protected] for more info.
