Christine O’Grady ~ The NEW face of

 Union County Moms

 

Where are you from originally and how long have you lived in town?

I was born in Roselle and lived there until I was 2 years old. My family then moved to Westfield, which is where my parents still reside to this day.  When Tim and I got married, we bought a house in Scotch Plains. We lived there for many years. In 2019, we moved to Mountainside!  We love our neighborhood and town!  We live right by the Watchung Reservation and love going on hikes with our daughters.

Child(ren) and Age(s)?

We have two daughters. McKenna who is six years old and in first grade. Reagan is 4 years old and in preschool.

Favorite things to do with your kids?

There are so many things we love doing with our girls. We especially love going for hikes in the reservation. We love the deserted village and the girls just love walking through the woods.  Tea parties are all the rage in my house. We have them on a daily basis. Recently, we went to the Mulberry House in Westfield with my moms and my daughters. The girls were beyond ecstatic. It was such a special day!

Obviously, we take Halloween very seriously in our house!  We are busy planning our family costume for this year! I can’t wait to share. 🙂

FUN QUESTIONS:

 What is your favorite restaurant in Union County?

I have to say Ferraro’s!  Every single event we have had catered, we have used Ferraro’s. It is our go-to take out and we love going to the restaurant too!  Especially during Sweet sounds of Jazz Nights in Westfield!

What is your favorite activity to do with your child(ren) in Union County?

 We love to spend time outdoors! whether it be going on a hike in the reservation, playing softball at Deerfield School fields or sitting in our backyard with a fire pit and a movie, we just love being outside!

What are your Mom Goals?

We want to raise our children to be kind, caring and compassionate!  I want them to be conscious of how their actions affect others. I also want them to know they can do anything they set their mind to.  Education is also of the utmost importance to us!  We moved to Mountainside because they use the curriculum that I used while teaching. I want my girls to have all the tools they need to be successful in life!
