Meet-A-Mom – Peachtree Cities Mom – Caroline Kirsch | Union County Moms

This week’s Meet a Mom is Caroline Kirsch, a mom of two “wild and crazy” kids behind Peachtree City Moms. Caroline’s site, part of The Local Moms Network (TLMN), is bringing the gift of time through valuable resources, events and guides to moms in a vibrant area of Georgia just 30 minutes outside of Atlanta. We chatted with Caroline about joining The Local Moms Network team, her family life with her husband, daughter Kathryn (10) and son Linden (6) and more.

Can you please tell us a bit about your area?
We moved to Peachtree City about 10 years ago for my husband’s business. Peachtree City (PTC) is known as a 100-mile network of multi-use paths for pedestrians, cyclists, and golf carts. Residents can go anywhere within the City limits via these paths. There are even Golf Cart parking spots in the shopping villages and it is not uncommon to see someone driving a golf cart in the Chick-fil-A drive-thru.

Why did you join The Local Moms Network?
I joined The Local Moms Network in May of 2021. When I came across The Local Mom’s Network on social media, I knew I wanted to be a part of it. Their mission of “giving Moms the gift of time” by curating a one-stop shop where Moms can find all the necessary resources and information they need all in one place truly resonated with me. I am honored to be able to provide hyper-local community resources, guides, and local event information for Fayette and Coweta County. It is a great way to give back to a community I adore by connecting fellow Moms with local business and providers.

What is your professional background?
My background is in Medical Sales. I was a full line Diagnostic Account Executive with Siemens Healthineers for 10 years prior to becoming a Stay at Home Mom. I believe my Medical Sales background has given me an incredible work ethic and my experience as a Stay at Home Mom allows me to relate to Moms in our community looking for connection and easy access to resources.

What is your favorite part of being part of TLMN?
There are so many! I enjoy working alongside the amazing Moms within The Local Moms Network who continually bring support and inspiration. Locally, I have enjoyed meeting and getting to know so many local business owners and learning their stories. I especially love sharing our Meet A Mom segments, where you can read about some fierce women as we highlight their businesses, success stories, projects, and/or fundraisers.

What is your best “working mom” tip?
In the words of Tony Horton, “Do your best and forget the rest”. As Moms it is a constant struggle to maintain a balance between juggling it all. It’s so easy to feel guilty that we aren’t always doing enough. Let’s stop being so hard on ourselves and let go of the “Mom Guilt”. Instead, remind ourselves that we are enough and schedule time for self-care. It is so important!

What is your favorite “mom hack”?
Be silly and laugh as much as you can. Play music! Have dance parties after dinner while you clean the kitchen, build forts and watch movies in them, have breakfast for dinner, have a “yes” day!

What books and/or podcasts are you loving right now?
I just finished reading The Girl with Seven Names and highly recommend it. I’m currently reading The Second Mrs. Astor and I’m also enjoying a new local Podcast called Forelaughsptc.

What’s one thing most people don’t realize about you or your area?
Most people don’t know I am also an author of the local children’s book, Goodnight Peachtree City. It follows a family riding on their Golf Cart waving Goodnight to all the local landmarks. I was inspired by my children but it is truly a love story to Peachtree City as well! It is retailed locally at Bloom Organics, The Heirloom Market, and The Peachtree City Visitor Center.

That’s so cool! We love supporting local businesses. Can you please share your fave places in your area to:
