Introduce Yourself! (Name, What Union County Town you live in, and Tell us a little about yourself)
Hello my name is Dr. Brittni Minafra. My husband and I recently moved to Madison, NJ from Bergen county. I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame (Go Irish!) and went to medical school at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine. I completed my residency in Family Medicine at Overlook Hospital where I was chief resident. I love traveling, trying new foods and restaurants, a good TV show, and spending time with my friends and family.
Where are you from originally and how long have you lived in Union County?
I was born in Hackensack, NJ and grew up in Rockland County, NY. I have spent the last three years working in and exploring Union County during my residency and look forward to getting to know it even more.
What kind of medicine do you practice? Tell us about your practice and what you love about it!
I practice Family Medicine. My new practice is a tight nit group of physicians and I love that I have colleagues that are there to help me grow and shape my career. The Practice is warm and welcoming. I also love that Family Medicine offers me the chance to see all members of a family (kids to elderly), allowing me to really build connections with my patients and provide life-long care.
Favorite things to do in town/Union County?
I am new to the area so right now my husband and I are trying to eat our way through Madison and the surrounding areas. We would love any suggestions! During residency our favorite places to eat and hang out were The Office and La Pastaria in Summit.
What is your favorite local restaurant?
During residency we didn’t get out as much as we would have liked but we always enjoyed the Italian food at La Pastaria and grabbing a drink at The Office and Winberies
What is the best advice you have been give or a motto you live by?
“It’s nice to be nice, try it!” My grandfather said this to me all the time growing up.
What are your goals as a physician?
My goals are to be a well rounded physician who is able to form strong bonds with patients and their families while providing the best care possible.
Dr. Minafra has the best bedside manor. She immediately made my girls feel comfortable and engaged them in conversation about their day. She listened to their responses and my concerns!

Shivers and Bad Habits by Ed Sheehan, Fall Out Boy, Lizzo and anything from the late 90s/early 2000s
What is the go to piece of clothing in your wardrobe that you CANNOT live without?
My black leggings with pockets on the side!
